THE FORMAT / IN MOTION

A closer view of substantial pages.

A board book brings illustrations onto substantial pages. Plan the sequence of spreads, page thickness and finished shape as a complete object. For children's projects, share the intended age group and market requirements early so these can be included in the specification review.

FAQ

Before you begin.

Can the pages have rounded corners?

Rounded corners can be included in the specification. The corner profile should be checked on a physical sample alongside the page dimensions.

Are children's book certifications included?

No certification is implied. Provide the intended age group, destination market and required testing standards so the project requirements can be reviewed before production.

Should artwork be supplied as pages or spreads?

Start with the planned reading sequence and finished size. Confirm the production layout and allowances before preparing final print files.
